There's a new spot in town to get your DIY on! Board and Brush is now open on Harvey Road just west of Post Oak Mall.

During the class you'll sand, stain, and paint to create a one-of-a kind wooden sign.

Even if you don't consider yourself crafty, you'll come away with something you're proud of.

"We've got assistants at every table helping you, giving you different recommendations on stain, on techniques, on paint. Even if you are not a painting professional, you are going to walk out of here with something awesome," explained Natalie Mobley, owner of Board & Brush in College Station.

When you sign up for a class, you'll be able to choose from about 100 different projects. If you plan on taking the class with friends, you do not have to choose the same project.

It is best to sign up for class about 72 hours in advance. That gives them time to print out the personalized stencil you will use for your project. Many of the projects can be personalized with your family's name, wedding anniversary, etc.

The classes are BYOB. You can also bring snacks. The classes are designed for people age sixteen and up.

There are options to host private birthday parties, team building events, and holiday parties.

There are options for kids parties too. They will not use the power tools or stains, but can pick a project and create their own themed wooden sign.

Board & Brush Creative Studio is located at 900 Harvey Road, Suite 13 in College Station. For more information, visit their website. There is a link to it under the related links section of this page.
