BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - The Brazos Valley Food Bank has a brand new program to help with tomorrow's problem of food insecurity.
The Together We Grow program works with food insecure individuals who are unemployed or underemployed to develop personal and professional goals that will lead themselves and their families to an improved state of food security.
Through a 5-week course, participants develop tools, coupled with individualized support from staff, to identify and navigate barriers to food security through employment in the community and access to resources.
A new course will begin Jan. 7. Organizers urge people to sign up as early as possible.
People who are interested in participating in Together We Grow should call the food bank at (979) 779-3663. More information is available at the Brazos Valley Food Bank's website. A link is provided in the related links section of this page.
