Brazos Valley Food Bank returns to the basics with Food for Families Food Drive
As KBTX and the Brazos Valley Food Bank look ahead to the Annual Food For Families Food Drive, the food bank is getting back to the basics.
"I spent the past couple years talking about not needing regular vegetables- corn and green beans and things like that [but] we're actually kind of out of the basics," said Theresa Mangapora, Executive Director the Brazos Valley Food Bank. "We do a lot more in fresh produce but on this day, we want people to bring their canned goods."
Mangapora says the Food Bank also is in need of paper products like paper towels, diapers and toilet paper.
The Food for Families Food Drive will be all day Wednesday, Dec. 5 starting at 5 a.m. Below is a list of drop off locations across the Brazos Valley. For more information, click the link
Brazos Center, 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Kimbro Center, 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Navasota Valley Electric Coop in Franklin, 6:00 am – 7:00 pm.
St. Mary’s Parish Gym in Caldwell, 6:00a.m – 7:00pm
Mid-South Synergy in Navasota from 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
