Brazos Valley events canceled or postponed due to COVID-19

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - We're keeping a list of events that are being canceled or postponed due to COVID-19.

This article will be updated as more events are canceled or postponed. If you have an event involving 50+ participants please let us know by emailing us at news@kbtx.com.

The city of College Station has postponed or canceled many events across their city. Among the bigger cancelations:
-Easter Celebration at George Bush Presidential Library & Museum set for April 4

The Texas A&M Physics and Engineering Festival planned for April 4th has been canceled.

----------

The Museum of the American G.I. is canceling their Living History weekend scheduled for March 26-29. They will now be holding a scaled-down version of the event online. Find out more information on their website.

Camp Hearne, the historic WWII campsite and exhibit, is closed until further notice. For more information, you can call 979-314-7012

Pitch Hit & Run on April 4 has been canceled.

All City of Bryan splash pads are closed until further notice.

----------

Stephen F. Austin Class of 1960 reunion scheduled for April 4 has been canceled.

----------

April Pools Day on April 4 has been canceled.

----------

The Queen Theatre is suspending operations for 30 days effective immediately.

----------

April First Friday has been canceled. All the businesses will remain open. The concert at the Palace Theatre and all organizations and musicians along the sidewalks have been suspended.

The Brazos Valley Small Business Development Center has canceled or postponed all events through April 30th including First Steps to Starting Your Business, QuickBooks Desktop Basics, and Small Business Record Keeping and Taxes.

Unbound BCS has canceled the Night of Hope.

----------

Dancing for the Health of It, a benefit performance for Health for All, Inc., will no longer happen on April 4. The event is potentially rescheduled for Aug. 29 at the Hilton College Station.

Power of the Purse has been rescheduled from April 4 to September 11.

The Lake Walk has been postponed until further notice.

----------

The Brazos Valley Friends of the NRA Banquet has been moved from April 4 to July 17.

Grand Station will be closed temporarily beginning March 18 through April 1. They will re-evaluate as needed.

Walk With a Doc and Diamonds and Denim on April 4 has been canceled.

The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History will be temporarily closed from March 18 to March 31.

StageCenter has moved Suite Surrender to next season and postponed the opening of Macbeth to the dates that Suite Surrender would have opened. The new show dates for Macbeth are tentatively scheduled to May 28 - June 13.

The Pride Community Center has postponed the Big Gay 5K and BBQ to a later date.

----------

Producers Cooperative's Spring Classes at 10 a.m. on Saturday mornings have been canceled until further notice.

The Hispanic Forum Golf Tournament originally scheduled for April 4, has been postponed to a later date.

The Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley is postponing the 2020 Tribute Luncheon to a later date.

The College Station and Bryan Noon Lions Clubs Honoring Our Heros From the Heart Luncheon scheduled for May 6 has been rescheduled with a tentative date of February 17, 2021.

The Lampstand nursing and rehab has canceled the Annual Easter Eggstravaganza.

The 36th Annual Bike MS: Texas MS 150 Bike Ride is canceled.

Friends of Chamber Music is canceling the showing of the film Black Orpheus on April 14 at the Queen Theatre and the final concert of the 2019-2020 Friends of Chamber Music’s Concert Series, Clarice Assad and Sergio Assad on April 21.

The Women's Club 2020 House and Garden Tour and Lunch on April 8 is canceled.

The 54th Annual Spanish Fire School on July 5-10 hosted by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service has been canceled.

The Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra is canceling the Star Wars Concert scheduled for April 26.

The David Feherty "Live Off Tour" show at Texas A&M's Teed Arena has been postponed to an alternate date.

Wine & Roses Festival Weekend at Messina Hof Winery has been postponed to October 17th - 18th. The main festival is on Saturday the 17th and our 5K Fun Run Through The Vines is Sunday the 18th.

Catholic Charities of Central Texas’ “Creating Hope in the Brazos Valley” fundraising luncheon scheduled for April 30 has been canceled.

The Twin Oaks Landfill Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on April 18, 2020, is canceled. The next scheduled event will be October 24, 2020.

The National Vietnam War Veterans Day ceremony previously scheduled for March 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bryan Vietnam Monument has been canceled. They ask that everyone can pause on that day and time and remember all those who answered the call of the Nation to sacrifice their lives in the Vietnam War and thank them by phone/email/social media, if possible.
