Bryan man sentenced after guilty murder plea

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - A Bryan man will spend the next 50 years in prison, after pleading guilty to murder and other crimes.

Kevin Pullen pleaded guilty to killing Shay Lackey in a shooting back in 2016 on Highway 21, according to the Brazos County District Attorney's Office.

Records show that Pullen told deputies he intended to shoot and kill Lackey, who was his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend.

Pullen's ex Tiffany Sterling, was with Lackey when the attack happened and was shot as well. She survived the incident.

Pullen was also found guilty of aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
