Bryan man sentenced to 30 years for attempted ATM theft
A Bryan man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for trying to break into an ATM.
Christopher Tarver was arrested in October of last year at the BBVA Compass Bank on Briarcrest Dr.
A sensor in an ATM alerted officials that someone was attempting to break in. Security cameras captured Tarver using a crowbar on the machine.
When police arrived, Tarver started running away, but was caught when he ran back into the foyer containing the ATM.
He was sentenced Wednesday for attempted theft of property from an automated teller machine. He was also sentenced to 20 years for evading arrest with a previous conviction.
