BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Police in Bryan are investigating a shooting that happened overnight near a local park.
A man says his home was shot at while his family was inside.
"You see glass coming this way and sheetrock coming from that way,” said Keddrick Reid of Bryan. “It was like a movie scene."
Reid recalls the terrifying moment several bullets flew into his home on Cedar Crest Lane in Bryan early Monday.
"My stepson was lying on the couch right here and we just saw glass and sheetrock flying everywhere,” he said.
Reid says he heard a number of shots. He called the police and ran to his cameras.
He later learned bullets also hit a sign at a school building next door. Reid believes it was the result of a shootout near Henderson Park.
"It's been going on for about a month,” he said. “These little kids up here. They come to this park every day and fight and when one gets the best of another one they pull a gun."
Police say they don't know who’s responsible for the shooting, but it appears to be an isolated incident.
Reid wants more patrols and to know his family can be safe inside their own home.
"At night time it gets dangerous,” said Reid. “You never know if a bullet is going to come through your window or come through your car. Or if you're standing outside taking your trash out a bullet will hit you. Bullets don't have a name on it."
Police say no injuries were reported and the incident is under investigation.
