Bryan police still looking for person of interest in gas station shooting case

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX)- Bryan police say a person of interest has been identified in their investigation of a robbery and shooting at an area convenience store.

Hours after the store's clerk was shot, police released surveillance images Monday of two people inside the Apple Stop store on E. Villa Maria Road near Texas Avenue.

On Tuesday, investigators said they identified the person wearing a white sweatshirt, but detectives are still attempting to identify the person wearing a black jacket and red cap.

Police say the two are persons of interest in their case and they believe robbery was a motive.

The store clerk was found with a gunshot wound by a customer around 7:00 a.m. Monday morning. The victim is still at an area hospital receiving treatment, said police.
