VIDEO: Bryan woman accused of injuring two mall employees during scuffle

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - A Bryan woman was arrested after police say she injured employees while attempting to shoplift from the Macy’s at Post Oak Mall.

College Station police arrested Tabitha Evans, 29, shortly after noon on Monday.

Police say they were called to Post Oak Mall after employees saw Evans leaving Macy’s without paying for items. Employees say they tried to restrain Evans as she left, at which point she bit someone on the back and injured another employee’s finger. Evans attempted to drive away, but was stopped in the parking lot by College Station police.

Evans was arrested for robbery because she injured an employee while committing a theft. Online records show she was also charged with a safety seat violation for a child less than eight years old, driving with an invalid license and not maintaining her car insurance.

The employees injured while confronting Evans were treated at the mall and released.
