For the first time in its nearly 40 year history Buc-ee's has opened a convenience store outside of Texas.
The company opened up a 50,000 square foot facility along I-10 in Baldwin County, Alabama between Mobile and Pensacola, Florida.
General counsel for Buc-ee's Jeff Nadalo has said the company chose the state because "Alabama is aligned with the type of customer we are looking for."
The shop features all the snacks and candies Texas travelers are used to including the 120 gas pumps on hand.
Buc-ee's is also planning to open two more stores outside of the Lone Star State. One is scheduled to open in Daytona, Florida this summer and the other in Fort Myers.
