COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - On Friday afternoon, people inside the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum took time to reflect on the life of Mr. Bush following his funeral Thursday.
Jasmine Walia is a student at the Bush School and took time Friday to look back at her experience as part of the service.
"Something that I'm still kind of wrapping my head around it," said Walia.
Walia was chosen to be an honorary pallbearer at Mr. Bush's funeral.
"President Bush had actually declared that he wanted to have a representative from the Bush School and from Texas A&M at his funeral as an honorary pallbearers. Because I serve as the Chief Ambassador of the Bush School Ambassadors Council, I happened to be the person that the dean chose in representing the school," said Walia.
Her duties included attending the funeral service at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston and greeting the train as it arrived in College Station.
"Standing beside the Bush family as President Bush was taken off of the train and into the hearse to be buried in College Station, and that was a historic moment and just really impactful," said Walia.
