BRYAN, Tex (KBTX) - Amid the trinkets, gadgets, and tools available at The Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley, is a brand new kid-friendly replica of an Air Med helicopter used by the CHI St Joseph trauma unit.

CHI St Joseph and the Children's Museum partnered on the project for almost a year. Their aim is to not only give kids a glimpse at the life of a pilot or Air Med nurse, but to possibly inspire them to one day pursue a career in the health field.

The helicopter is equipped with helmets, vests, buttons and even a joystick for kids to play with.

"I think this is a great thing that CHI St. Jospeh has done with the Children's Museum where they can come and enjoy and learn about what we do," said CHI Flight Nurse Supervisor, Amy Ponzio.

"Kids love to role play. As they're playing here in the museum, we want them to think 'is this something I'd like to do when I grow up?' We want to stress here in the museum that the possibilities are endless and the sky is the limit," said CMBV Marketing Director Ashley Kortis.

The museum is open from 10am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday.
