BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Plans are moving forward for a big makeover to the William J. Bryan Parkway corridor in Bryan.

After meeting with residents and drivers, the city is planning to slow down traffic along the Sue Haswell Park area with roundabouts at both sides of the park.

The city is also looking at a new signal for Coulter Drive, safer pedestrian crossings and raised medians.

Work is expected to start in the fall of 2020.

The $13 million project will be paid for through the Bryan/College Station Metropolitan Planning Organization.

The city is spending up to $2 million for design.
