COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - Easter is just a few weeks away and a local mom and home baker is teaching classes so that you can learn how to make cute decorated sugar cookies for the holiday.

Stephanie Arnold, the owner of Sweet Station, started baking and decorating cookies 15 years ago and is excited to start sharing her baking knowledge.

She hopes her classes inspire parents and kids to be creative and spend time together in the kitchen.

"I hope they are excited to go and plan their next set of cookies, what theme they're going to have, what colors, just getting the kids involved and letting them make those decisions and going back and having the confidence to make some precious, adorable cookies," said Arnold.

The classes will give advice on baking cookies that are good for decorating as well as the techniques of outlining and flooding icing.

The class is open to adults and kids over five years old.

There will be a decorating class on March 8th from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and another one is scheduled for March 24th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

The best way to sign up for the classes is on the Sweet Station BCS Facebook page. You can sign up and place orders by clicking the "Book Now" button on the top right of the page.
