COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - Area kids can make sure they get plenty of food this summer.
Tuesday kicked off the start of College Station ISD's Summer Food Program. Kids were enjoying the free lunches and breakfasts at the Lincoln Recreation Center.
The summer food program is also offered at College Hills Elementary. Adults can also purchase a meal for $3.75 by just showing up.
"Any child who walks in the door is able to eat for free as long as they are the age of 1 to 18. We do not have to have proof of name, residency, income, anything. You just walk in line and grab your free meal," said Bridget Goodlett, College Station ISD Director for Child Nutrition Services.
