COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - College Station Mayor Karl Mooney stopped by BVTM this week. He wanted to say how particularly proud he was of the entire community for the way we helped welcome home President George H.W. Bush last week. There was a lot of attention on the Brazos Valley and College Station.

"We had the world's eye cast upon us and of course there's going to be some folks who are scrutinizing us, not just embracing what was going on. I just wanted to take a moment and thank the folks out there in College Station for everything they did to make certain that we were respectful and I understand, there was a tinge of sadness in all of use because we were fortunate," said Mayor Mooney.

He also discussed changes in the bike share company operating in College Station. Ofo is on its way out and VeoRide is on its way in.

"If you don't use something properly, it can be taken away, and that's exactly what happened here," said Mooney.
