COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - Pool season is coming to Texas but before you dive in, the City of College Station wants to make sure people are staying safe. On Sunday, May 19 the city is hosting Water Safety Day at Adamson Lagoon.
The fun-filled event is open to the whole family and aims to raise public awareness about water safety. Participants will learn about drowning prevention, water rescue skills like CPR, proper life jacket use, and more.
Participants will also receive free admission to the pool and are
welcome to stay through public swim hours. You can even leave and come back if you'd like.
Water Safety Day at Adamson Lagoon will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All you have to do is show up.
