CSPD: Robbery suspect shot in apartment parking lot

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX)- College Station police are investigating a shooting that happened late Friday night in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Spring Loop near Tarrow Street.

At least one person with a gunshot wound the chest was rushed to a hospital.

Police say two people met for a private transaction when the would-be buyer attempted to rob the seller. The seller responded by shooting the alleged robber.

The man shot is undergoing treatment at a hospital. Detectives are still investigating.

Early Saturday morning police released this statement:

“Officers were able to determine that two people had met in the apartment complex to exchange property, with one person selling property to another.

During the exchange of the property, there was an apparent disagreement between the two parties, resulting in one person shooting the other. The victim was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for the injury. It is believed that this was an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the public.
