COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX)- A College Station restaurant is back open after it was temporarily closed by health inspectors, KBTX's Rusty Surette has confirmed.
The permit for Newk's Eatery on University Drive near Highway 6 in College Station was suspended Tuesday afternoon following a customer's complaint.
"We received a complaint for an observance of roaches and after investigating, the permit was suspended to allow for corrections to be made," said a spokesperson from the Brazos County Health Department.

“The safety of our guests is our top priority, and our College Station restaurant has a positive history of health inspection scores in the top 10 percent. Upon learning of an issue, we immediately treated and conducted a thorough deep clean of the restaurant. We have received a positive re-inspection from the health department and are open and ready to welcome guests.”
