College Station's Citizens University offers peek inside city government

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - The City of College Station is hosting a program meant to teach citizens how their government works.

Citizens University comes around every spring and gives people the chance to learn from those who build budgets, construct capital projects, plan for growth, keep the lights on and neighborhoods safe.

Citizens University is free to attend and lasts 13 weeks including 12 classes and a graduation night. Classes are held every Monday from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. beginning Jan. 28.

The class only has about 30 spots available so those interested are encouraged to sign up soon.
