COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - A fire on Sunday caused significant damage to a building in south College Station.

Around 4:00 p.m. firefighters rushed to the Wolf Creek Car Wash & Oil Change located near the corner of Rock Prairie Road and Highway 6.

Fire was seen shooting out of the north side of the building where the car wash is located. It appears firefighters stopped the blaze from spreading to other parts of the building including Hallmark Cleaners.

Heavy smoke coming from the fire could be seen across the Bryan-College Station area.

The owners of the Wolf Creek Car Wash & Oil Change posted this message on KBTX's Facebook page Sunday evening:
"As of now we do not know what the cause of the fire was nor what parts of the building were affected. Thankfully no employees were in the building at the time of the fire. We'd like to thank all fire agencies for their quick response and service in containing this fire."

Firefighters from Bryan and College Station responded to the blaze.

Several police officers were on scene to help with traffic control.

Fire Marshall reports that there was no one in the building when the fire began and no injuries have been reported.

Investigators are checking to see if the fire spread to other parts of the building.

There's no word yet on what started the blaze.
