BRYAN. Tex. (KBTX) - Elections workers and judges got their first hands-on training with new voting machines Tuesday morning.
The county received 400 new machines in January, and Bryan ISD students were the first to use them last week when they voted for class officers.
Tuesday morning, 25 people learned how to use the touch-screen machines.
“We want to be sure that those in charge of our polling places are comfortable with the equipment and how it works, and that we answer all of their questions,” said Brazos County Elections Administrator Trudy Hancock.
The new machines will be used for the bond election set for May 4 in Bryan.
