Fiery crash blocks SH 21 traffic near airport in Bryan

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Smoke can be seen for miles following a multi-vehicle crash on Hwy 21 in Bryan.

Crews are responding to the area of Hwy 21 near Wallis Rd. near Coulter Airfield.

Reports indicated that at least an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck are involved.

Hwy 21 East at Wallis Rd is closed in both directions.
Traffic traveling westbound will have to divert onto Carrabba road and eastbound traffic onto Marino Rd.
All occupants are safe, according to Bryan Police.

It will be at least 45 minutes before the road is reopened.
The cleanup process is expected to take 2 hours.

Authorities say no one was hurt in the crash.
