BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - 9:30 p.m. update -
Emergency crews remain on the scene of a leak at a home on Austin's Estates Drive. The homeowners remain evacuated, but the neighbors have been allowed to return home. Investigators are still trying to determine the source of the leak.

Crews are responding to a gas leak off Austin's Estates Drive.

Officials say the leak is in the 4000 block of Austin's Estates Drive. They tell KBTX they aren't sure what type of gas is leaking.

Bryan firefighters were called to the scene around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. Coincidentally, KBTX staff members were in a meeting with local emergency managers when this leak was called in. When asked if this leak was dangerous at the time, those officials said no.

Two homes have been evacuated. Officials don't have any idea on when the leak will be contained. Residents that need to get to homes on the other side of Austin's Estates can access them using Austin's Landing.
