The Brazos Valley Food Bank is holding it's annual Feast of Caring lunch on Wednesday, August 9.
The event is actually free to attend, but the Brazos Valley Food Bank is encouraging those who come to make donations in the amount that they would pay if they went to a restaurant. However, if you aren't able to make a donation, the organization is still encouraging you to come out for the event.
For the past 24 years, the Feast of Caring has offered beans and rice along with sausage, salad and a dessert. The meal is meant to be a reminder that unfortunately, many people have limited options when it comes to feeding themselves. However, organizers insist that visitors will be fed very well at the feast and the caterers do an excellent job preparing the food.
The Feast of Caring will be at the Brazos Center from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
