Free, local program help warn young drivers of the driving dangers

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - The Reality Education for Drivers (RED) Program provides a shocking dose of the reality of the consequences of driving impaired, distracted, or generally unsafely.

The Brazos Valley Injury Prevention Coalition organizes this program which is receiving national attention.

"We take young people and their parents into the hospitals--trauma centers and morgues--to show them what can happen to them and others when they make poor decisions on the road," said Mary Jo Prince with BVIPC. "We want to stop the crashes and citations before they ever happen."

The RED Program is free to attend. It is a five-hour course. See below for the upcoming dates. Reach out to sign up at maryjo.prince@ag.tamu.edu or (979) 847-8865. You can also find out more in the Related Links.
