George H.W. Bush gravesite opens to the public Saturday
Visitors at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum got to pay their respects to the late president as the gravesite opened to public Saturday.
Bush was laid to rest Thursday on the library grounds next to his wife, Barbara, and their daughter Robin.
Many people traveled across the country to see the final resting place. Visitors say the 41st president left a lasting impact on their lives.
"President Bush was the reason I joined the army to start with." said Glenn Fountain. Fountain was one of many who visited the gravesite Saturday. "He's always motivated me and I feel honored to be here and certainly a chance of a lifetime to pay respects to a fantastic man. "
Steven Aarhart also visted the site Saturday. "I am an Eagle Scout and I got my court of honor and I got a hand written letter from Mr Bush. It was right before he died and I wanted to come out and pay my respects."
Beginning Monday, times and admission prices at the library will return to normal.
