Heavy rain cancels or moves some Friday events

BRAZOS COUNTY, Tex. (KBTX) - The latest round of wet weather is forcing some events to cancel or reschedule.

Christmas on the Brazos
One event affected by the rain is Christmas on the Brazos over at Washington on the Brazos Historic Site.

Friday's festivities are cancelled, but the event will continue Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuba Christmas
The BCS Libraries' 5th annual Tuba Christmas celebration is also being rescheduled.

The event, which was originally scheduled for Friday, has been moved to Saturday, December 22.

Baritone, euphonium and tuba players will perform unique Christmas music at the Carnegie History Center in Downtown Bryan starting at 1:30 p.m.

Outside events have had to be cancelled, but the shops will still be open and ready for anyone who wants to brave the weather!

College Station's Christmas in the Park
The rainy weather has also put a damper on Christmas in the Park. Any events scheduled for Friday and Saturday have been cancelled, but you can still drive through and enjoy the lights.
