SNOOK, Tex. (KBTX) - The Hog Splash Mud Volleyball tournament is coming back to the Brazos Valley. It's a fun way to get active with friends while helping a good cause.

The family-friendly event centers around a mud pit where co-ed teams of 8-10 people face off in a recreational volleyball game. A 1st place trophy is given out for a year of bragging rights.

The tournament will be held Saturday, August 24 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The deadline to apply is July 12 for sponsors and August 2 for teams.

Soft drinks and beer will be available along with food from 1775 Texas Pit BBQ, JLM's Chicken and Waffles and snow cones from Kona Ice.

To register your team, fill out the online form at Hospice Brazos Valley's website.

The mud volleyball tournament is hosted annually by Hospice Brazos Valley and Slovacek's Sausage.
