BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - A video went viral online that showed a young woman removing a carton of Blue Bell ice cream from a Lufkin Walmart freezer, opening the lid, licking the ice cream, and replacing the carton on the store shelf.
Since then, the "Lufkin Licker" has served as a cautionary tale to consumers.
But how dangerous is this instance to our families' health?
Dr. Seth Sullivan is an infectious disease specialist from Baylor Scott & White Health. He joined First News at Four to answer this question. See the video player above for the full conversation.
