How your driving should change in wet weather

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - The Brazos Valley has seen a lot of wet roads over the last few weeks after a particularly rainy December.

During wet weather like that, there are some easy ways to be safer on the road.

TEEX Training Manager Kyle McNew shared the following suggestions for driving on wet roads:

- Slow down
- If you feel your car hydroplaning or getting out of control, first take your first off the accelerator--do not slam on the breaks
- Make sure your arms can comfortably bend when you're touching the steering wheel so your best muscles are in control
- Do not use cruise control on wet roads.
- Have proper air pressure in your tires
