BRYAN, Tex (KBTX) - Got plans at the pool, lake, or around the grill this holiday weekend? Keep them, but be ready to run back inside in the AC for a bit by the late afternoon.
As high pressure relaxes, gulf moisture returns, and a weak distrubance moves across the state of Texas, scattered coverage of afternoon rain and a couple storms will increase by Fathers Day. At the moment, we're not expecting higher than 30/40% coverage for Sunday, with better chances of downpours coming Monday.
We may want to savor this chance for scattered, cooling rain: Things look to warm up and dry out by the middle part of next week, leaving us hot and humid for at least a stretch of days moving into mid/late June.
