BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Students at a local elementary school got a history lesson of some famous Texas figures.

Fourth graders at Johnson Elementary put together a wax museum for family and friends on Thursday. Over the past two weeks, the students researched, created autobiographies and dressed up as their famous Texan.

"We are getting further away from our old Texas history so it is good to keep it alive in some kind of way," said fourth grade teacher Cindi Faubion.

This is the second year they have had the wax museum.
