Man accused of taking Aggie ring during car burglary, sold it for $180
A stolen Aggie ring has been returned to its owner.
College Station police say Tyron Marcus Greeno, 28, took the Class of '16 ring during a vehicle burglary back in April.
According to a police report on file, Greeno took the ring, along with a wallet containing the victim's credit cards.
According to the police report, Greeno sold the ring at local jewelry store for $180.
Police were able to use the name on the ring to link it to a burglary report filed by the victim.
Police then used the sales receipt at the jewelry store to connect Greeno to the investigation. Police say Greeno gave several different stories to investigators when trying to explain how he obtained the ring.
