COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - A College Station man has been arrested after a violent fight at a Northgate bar.

It happened just before midnight Tuesday at Rough Drought Whiskey Bar on Church Avenue.

College Station police say Nicholas Taylor, 38, and another patron at the bar got into a fight after Taylor reportedly grabbed the man's female friend. The pair fell over a table, breaking a glass bottle.

That's when witnesses say Taylor grabbed the broken bottle and swiped at the other man's face, causing several cuts.

Bar staff was able to hold Taylor down until police arrived. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The male victim was treated at the hospital for multiple cuts, including a deep wound near his eye.
