Man robbed while attempting to sell Xbox at College Station parking lot

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - A College Station man was robbed during a business transaction and it's serving as a reminder to be cautious when buying or selling items online.

Tuesday morning, the victim met up with a prospective buyer in the Sam's Club parking lot to sell his Xbox and a few games.

The pair agreed online to meet at the store to make the exchange. However, the person he met ended up fleeing the scene with the merchandise without paying.

Police caught up with the suspect and arrested him and his getaway driver.

Now, police are reminding the public about their safe exchange zones.

Residents are encouraged to make personal business transactions at the Bryan or College Station Police Department parking lots. Those designated areas have 24-hour surveillance.
