A bizarre set of events forced the temporary closure of a donut shop Monday in College Station and led to the arrest of a local woman.
College Station police say around 2:00 a.m. a woman entered the Shipley Do-Nuts near Tower Point on Greens Prairie Road.
After going inside, police say Alyssa Salvato, 24, of Bryan, set off an intruder alarm. She tried to turn it off, but police said when that didn't work she pulled a fire suppression alarm that released foam over the fryers.
Salvato was taken into custody by police and charged with Public Intoxication.
A spokeswoman for Shipley Do-Nuts said the shop had to be closed Monday for a "massive clean-up operation" and an inspection by the health department.
It is scheduled to open back for normal business hours on Tuesday.
