Various polling places across Brazos County suffered some minor hiccups as the polls opened early Tuesday morning.

Just before 7:30 a.m., KBTX learned the polling system at the Bryan Ballroom was down.

According to Brazos County Elections Administrator Trudy Hancock, the problem was with the machine that filters out the code voters are given to cast their ballots with. The machine would not turn on however it was quickly fixed, and polls were backup by 7:45 a.m.

Around the same time, the polling systems at MSC on Texas A&M's campus and the Brazos County Administration building were also having issues.

No details on what the issue is at the MSC, however Hancock says at 7 a.m. volunteer accidentally turned off the systems at the Administration building, and systems were back up by 7:45 a.m.

Around 8 a.m. voters at the Millican Community Center say the process was slow. Hancock says volunteers there had set up the booths incorrectly, causing the booths to run slower than usual. The problem has since been fixed.
