Motorcyclist seriously injured in wreck near Bedias

BEDIAS, Tex. A 53-year-old man is recovering in the hospital after a major accident Sunday afternoon.

Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers say James Knauer of Nome was traveling State Highway 39 North near Singleton when his Harley-Davidson crossed into southbound traffic and hit a Ford F-150 pickup. Troopers say the man on the motorcycle was thrown and had a head injury. He was airlifted to CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan.

No one else was injured in the accident. Troopers say the man was wearing a helmet.
