Navasota holds Texas-sized celebration for Texas Independence Day

On Texas Independence Day, The City of Navasota is a holding a Texas-sized celebration with their annual Texas Birthday Bash. On March 2, the city kicks off two days of celebration with country music concerts, Made in Texas craft vendors, food vendors, a mechanical bull, kid-friendly activities like pony rides, a petting zoo and shows by the South Texas Gunfighters. Events will be held in historic downtown.

This year, tickets are $10 at the gate or $7 if you buy them online at texasbirthdaybash.com.

Below is the line up for the Texas Birthday Bash.

Hometown Boys will take the stage Friday at 5:30 p.m. Friday’s headliner is Los Lonely Boys at 7:30 p.m. Darrin Morris Band will close out Friday at 9:30 p.m.

Saturday’s concerts kick off at 11:30 a.m. with Holly Tucker, who competed on Season 4 of The Voice. Cody Bryan Band takes the stage at 1:30 p.m., followed by Clayton Gardner at 3:30 p.m. and Cory Morrow at 5:30 p.m. Multi platinum recording artist, Tracy Byrd will close out Texas Birthday Bash at 9:30 p.m.

Texas Birthday Bash is paid for through the city's hotel occupancy tax funds which attracts families to eat, shop and sleep in Navasota.
