COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) You can expect to see a few more businesses coming soon to the Tower Point and Caprock Crossing developments in south College Station.
IHOP at Tower Point will open its doors within the next month and a new business out of Conroe, Pie in the Sky, is taking over what once was Bush’s Chicken.
"We are hoping for the beginning of summer, so be looking for us probably at the beginning of June,” said Michelle Taylor, co-owner of Pie In the Sky BCS.
Just across William D. Fitch Parkway at Caprock Crossing, a new hang out spot is underway. The Yard is a green space already open for families to enjoy but businesses are coming, too.
"All the Kings Men should be open in late summer. We have a couple more offices that will be opening in the month of June and then again looking for some more food and beverage to come out and help support the area,” said Jesse Durden, President of Caprock Development.
Officials with Tower Point say you can also expect to see more residential areas.
“We're delivering a project out there that will be approximately about a thousand single family residences, all on the higher end of the spectrum,” said Hunter Goodwin, Oldham Goodwin Group.
There's a new restaurant being built near Lowe's. Ground broke recently at the site for Tad's, a steak and seafood restaurant.
