BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) There's a new effort underway in Bryan to help underprivileged families get the clothes and toiletries they need.

Community members held a ribbon cutting at Bryan Collegiate High School Thursday morning for a new clothing closet called Hope's Locker. It's being spearheaded by Bryan ISD's Project HOPE.

They are open every Tuesday between 4:15 p.m. and 6 p.m.

"For a lot of families in the district, it can be a struggle to be able to buy enough clothes for all of the kids. This is an opportunity for people just to be able to get some extra things for free," said Tara Dupper with Project Hope.

If any students need assistance, they can go through their counselor at school, or contact Project Hope at 979-209-7042.
