New tool tracks Hurricane Harvey recovery progress
There's now a way to track where funds are going to help Hurricane Harvey victims.
You can find the new recovery tracker on RebuildTexas.org.
On the site you can navigate where funds are going related to the state's recovery from the hurricane.
The Governor's Commission to Rebuild Texas is working with the Texas A&M University System to get that information to the public.
They say transparency is key during the recovery process.
“People want to make sure that they understand how that money’s being use, the impact it’s having on this community and individuals that were impacted by the storm and making sure that funding is flowing through appropriately to the right places," said John Barton, Texas A&M University System Associate Vice Chancellor.
More info will be added to the Rebuild Texas website as it comes in from the Texas General Land office and FEMA.
