BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - After a couple quiet days in the Brazos Valley, the next round of rain and thunderstorms is expected Wednesday. Once again, severe weather is not ruled out.
The Storm Prediction Center has the entire Brazos Valley placed under a Slight (2 out of 5) Risk for severe weather mid-week. There is a higher, Enhanced (3 out of 5) risk just north of the area - stretching from Southeast Oklahoma through North Texas, down I-35 to near Austin.
Within that enhanced risk, the area is also marked for "significant" severe potential that could produce large hail over 2" with some storms. While the Brazos Valley is currently not labeled under the same, it is close enough to keep an eye on.
