COLLEGE STATION - For the fourth year in a row, a Brazos Valley High school senior won a brand new car.

It was all through Atkinson Toyota Scion's It Pays to Stay program.

At the beginning of the school year, 1,200 area students signed up for the perfect attendance challenge.

About 240 of them were successful, and they were at the College Station Hilton Sunday night to celebrate that success.

The winners were randomly chosen. 55 of them got $1,000 scholarships and one got they keys to a brand new Scion.

Paul Atkinson, who owns Atkinson Toyota, said "You know these kids are here tonight, not because they're the valedictorian or salutatorian, or the captain of their football or basketball or volleyball team. They're here because they made a commitment and they fulfilled that commitment."

This year's big winner is Stormy Brewer. She's a senior at Normangee High School and plans to go to Texas A&M in the Fall.

KBTX General Manager Mike Wright emceed Sunday's awards ceremony.
