North Texas man says his inflatable device will protect your vehicle from hail

DALLAS, Tex. (KBTX)- A north Texas man has created a device that helps to eliminate damage to your car or truck from any size hail.

Michael Siciliano created the Hail Protector, an inflatable device that covers automobiles and creates a barrier of air that provides protection during severe weather.

It's basically two car covers sewn together to make a bag, then inflated with four electric blowers that's powered by either batteries or your own vehicle. It can be stored in most trunks and can be started by a remote control device.

Customers will also have the option to sign-up for company's early warning hail forecast mobile app available on Apple and Android phones.

The device costs a couple hundred dollars.

Several videos on YouTube and other social media pages from current customers have praised the product following recent storms.

Siciliano says he grew tired of having to make repairs to his own vehicles after a series of storms in recent years, and came up with the design for the award-winning product.
