Operation Gold Shield fundraises for a cure in memory of law enforcement children

The Cure Starts Now Central Texas is fighting everyday to eradicate childhood cancer.

The latest fundraiser is happening now, called Operation Gold Shield. The spouses and loved ones of Texas state troopers are creating teams, each tasked with raising $1,000 for research.

The fundraiser continues through the month of September and seeks to honor the four children of law enforcement who have died of a rare brain tumor, DIPG, in the last two years--including Jade Bridier, the daughter of a Trooper from Bryan-College Station.
