BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History is hosting it's annual Boonville Days,and long with it, the Buffalo Stampede.
The event is Saturday, October 13 at 7:30 a.m.
The Buffalo Stampede includes a half-marathon and 5k run, that allows runners to qualify for other races and marathons. The museum is hoping at least 500 people sign up for the annual run.
There will be a jumbo-tron screen to show runners crossing the finish line, cheer stations for friends and family and prizes.
All runners will receive unique, custom-made finisher medals and trophies, delicious post-race food, t-shirts, and beer from New Republic Brewery.
There will also be a live bison on hand for a few hours as well as music and entertainment.
Registration is $35 for the 5k and $85 for the half marathon.
