Remnant of Nawlins founder Deborah Miller dead at 57

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Monday, Deborah Miller passed away from breast cancer complications at 57-years-old.

Miller was the founder of The Remnant of Nawlins restaurant in Bryan.

Miller and her family left New Orleans and moved to the Brazos Valley in 2005 after hurricane Katrina.

Miller’s daughter, Tyisha Thomas, and Miller’s son-in-law, Korey Thomas told KBTX, Miller meant the world to her children, grandchildren, and community.

The restaurant's Facebook page posted the news Thursday saying Miller was uninsured and the family was accepting donations for funeral arrangments.
