Roofers explain what to do if you think you have hail damage to your roof
Recent storms brought hail damage to the Brazos Valley but how do you know if your home has been affected?
Even if you're not sure how extensive your damage is, it's best to contact a local roofing company.
Robert Wilkerson with Aggieland Roofing says you don't want to choose a company from out of town because of the possibility of scams and the company repairing your roof but not honoring your warranty if there is a leak. Wilkerson also says that you want someone who specializes in roofing repair and not a general contractor.
"Once you contact a reliable company and they come out, you want them to make sure that they assess all the damage, not just hail but also wind, to the entire property to see if their is enough damage to get insurance involved," said Wilkerson.
Aggieland Roofing has a step-by-step process of what you need to from choosing the right contractor to insurance claim assistance.
